Montour Athletic Center Taking Shape

As construction continues on the Montour Athletic Center, the new home of the Spartans is taking shape. Foundations, steel, masonry walls, and stair towers begin to unveil the overall shape of the new athletic complex.

Inside the building, locker room areas have been laid out and the elevated track level now wraps around the basketball arena. The training rooms for cheerleading, wrestling, and aerobics on the second floor and new concrete bleachers in the natatorium have been added as well. Mechanical equipment has been placed on the mezzanine level above the training rooms.

The Athletic Center is scheduled for completion in late January 2013.

MHS Project Featured in Glass Magazine

The $47 Million addition and renovation at the Montour High School and District Administration Office campus in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania was recently featured in the Great Glazing section of Glass Magazine.

The project saw a complete transformation of the brick and block campus into a modern facility clad in metal panels and full of natural light. This renovation project unified what were 3 buildings on the hilltop into one facility. The new design integrated state of the art teaching, communication and security equipment to provide an efficient, modern facility for the students and the community.
